Julia Abigail Cochran, 35 yrs old, of Hartshorn, Mo went to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, March 4, 2021. She bravely fought a battle with cancer and passed into eternity in Yuma, AZ.
She was born in Fulton, Callaway County, Mo. to Shawn D and Stephanie J (Reynolds)Carpenter on April 30, 1985. Eldest of 10,she was determined and spunky and tried to keep all of her sisters and brothers in line.
She is survived by her husband and children, who she loved greatly. Married on July 12, 2008 to Benjamin W Cochran, they have 5 children: Chloe Mikayla, Jesse Colt, Shawn Drexel, Mylah Promise and Carson Curtis. Also surviving are her siblings: Deborah, Ruthie, Naomi, Sam, Jared, Esther, and Luke Carpenter all of Hartshorn, Hannah (Darrell) Boling of Prescott, AZ, and Anna (Nathan) Lewis of Garden Valley, Idaho; Bros-in-law: Adam Cochran and Jeremy(Ann) Cochran of Dillsboro, Indiana; nieces and nephews: Wyoming, Joseph, John, Alena, and Sierra Lewis, Wyatt and Steven Boling, Lane, Dakota, and Sedona Cochran; her mother, Stephanie Carpenter and Grandmother, Janet Reynolds both of Hartshorn, mother-in-law Sandra Cochran of Dillsboro, Indiana; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Shawn D Carpenter; father-in-law, Dennis Cochran; paternal grandparents, Eugene and Lucille Carpenter; and maternal grandfather, Curtis Reynolds.
Abigail loved the Lord and one of the ways she served Him was by being a sweet wife and mother to her family. She enjoyed homeschooling her children, tending her flower and herb gardens, sewing and crafts with her children along side. She had a musical gift for playing the piano and fiddle along with a beautiful voice. She was part of the Summersville Volunteer Fire Dept. Auxiliary. As a fire fighters wife, she supported her husband when he was called to help the community at a moments notice, holding him up in prayer. Her family attended the Old Paths Baptist Church in Hartshorn.
Abigail was a kind neighbor; a friend, confidant, and encourager to her siblings; a faithful wife and blessed mother. We have lost a jewel. Our loss is Heaven's gain and we know she is safe with Jesus. If we are also in Christ, we will see her again.
