Alvin Archie Bird

Summersville

Alvin Archie Bird, the son of Archie Bird and Alva (Roark) Bird was born on September 30th, 1938 at Summersville Missouri. He passed away at Mountain View Healthcare in Mountain View, Missouri on March 9th, 2019 at the age of 80.

He was united in marriage to Carol Sue Carmack on March 14th, 1978 and they were blessed with 41 years together. They were also blessed with 7 children, Stephanie, Stephen, Claude, Gene, Tracey, Mike, and Pam.

Alvin attended Summersville High School. After High School he worked construction and sawmill jobs. He also worked at Cooper’s Farm Supply for several years and did custom hay baling.

Alvin attended Oakside Church and was a deacon there for many years. He also served on the Date Township Road Board.

Alvin enjoyed turkey hunting with friends, deer hunting and sitting in his yard visiting with family and friends. Alvin loved to trade guns and was always looking for a good deal. He never knew a stranger, could visit with anyone, and always had a smile. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his grandchildren and his dogs Buddy, Trixie and Trigger.

Preceding Alvin in death were his father, Archie Bird, mother Alva Bird, wife Carol Sue Bird, brother Willie Bird, father and mother in law Edgar and Wilma Carmack, brother in laws Jimmy Carmack and Ronnie Carmack, sister in law Linda Smith and great grandson Aidyn Isaiah Queen.

Alvin is survived by his children: Stephanie (William) Miller, Stephen (Dessie) Bird, Claude Bird, Gene (Jill) Weaver, Tracey Mann, Mike (Kris) Weaver and Pam (Norman) Dolde; grandchildren: Mace Miller, Tukker Bird, Madison Miller, Kinsley Bird, Ashlyn Salindo, Austin Weaver, Ashley Bland, Amanda Bowers, Adam Queen, Brittani Drees, Brian Drees, Michael Weaver, Kathy Weaver, Kristy, Sam, Rhonda and Jessica; 6 great grandchildren, and a sister Ida Sweet. He also had many friends he loved and felt as if they were family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
