Andrew Wesley Turpin

Andrew Wesley Turpin was born September 20, 1936 at Summersville, Missouri to Ezra and Mary (Randlet) Turpin.  He passed away February 3, 2024 at his home in Summersville, Missouri at the age of 87.

Andy grew up on a farm in the Summersville area.  He attended Summersville High School graduating with the class of 1954.  He attended College for a few years at Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield.  He served his country for 2 years in the United States Army.  Andy worked for a commercial insurance company for several years in Kansas City.  He later moved to Illinois to work for the IRS.  After retiring from the IRS he returned to the farm near Summersville.

Andy enjoyed farming and taking care of horses.  He always liked to put out a big garden every year.  He also took pride in helping his mother and sister tend to their flowers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ezra and Mary Turpin; his brother, George Turpin and a sister, Bessie Turpin.

Andy is survived by his brother John Turpin; three nieces and a few cousins.  He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
