Anzel Van Shoults

Anzel Van Shoults was born May 26, 1937 in Hartshorn, Missouri to Elmer James Shoults and Audrey (Briggs) Shoults. Van passed away after a lengthy illness on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Ozark Medical Center in West Plains, Missouri making his age 80 years 5 months and 6 days.

In his early years he attended school at Black Valley in Hartshorn. In his youth he attended and was a member of Valley Center Church. In later years he attended Hartshorn Assembly of God Church. He worked in the timber cutting cord-wood until his health declined and he became disabled. Van enjoyed squirrel hunting and being outside in the woods.

When Van became unable to live alone he went to live at Mountain View Health Care, where he received excellent care for the past 15 years.

Preceding van in death are his parents, Elmer James and Audrey Shoults, siblings, Denver Shoults, Marcella Wilcox, Donald (Dee) Shoults and wife Kay, and one nephew Jason Shoults.

Those left to mourn his passing are his siblings, Charley Shoults of Summersville, Missouri,

Darlene Pethrus and husband Pierre of Ventura, California,

James Shoults and wife Paulette of Hartshorn, Missouri,

David Shoults and wife Rhonda of Hartshorn, Missouri,

Acleda Menz and husband Jerry of Raymondville, Missouri and

Frankie Shoults and wife Cheryl of Hartshorn, Missouri,

1 sister-in-law Erma Shoults of St. Ann, Missouri and 1 brother -in-law Don Wilcox of Hartshorn, Missouri. Van is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
