Benjamin (Ben) Franklin Cooper

Benjamin Franklin Cooper the son of Medford V. Cooper and Ruby (Cloninger) Bolton was born May 4, 1935 at the family home in Hartshorn, Missouri, in Shannon County. Ben passed away at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center, in Baltimore, Maryland on Sunday, November 12, 2017 making his age 82 years 6 months and 8 days.

Ben was united in marriage to Kathleen Edmonds, February 08, 1953, making their union together 64 years, 9 month and 4 days. To their union 5 children were born, Ruby Louise, Loma Sue, Benjie Rae, Benjamin Franklin Jr. and Samuel Keith.

Ben was baptized at an early age. He worked at a lath and plaster for 27 years in the construction industry. He was a truck driver for 30 years, and farmed on and off as he could.

Ben hobbies was mainly working either construction or driving the truck, hunting, farming and being out side.

He is preceded in death by his father Medford V. Cooper, mother Ruby Bolton, 2 brothers Medford Lee Cooper and V.C. Cooper, 2 sisters Betty Jo Chrisco and Orba Jean Price.

He is survived by his wife Kathleen Edmonds Cooper, children Ruby Louise Heikes, Loma Sue Combites and husband Charles, Benjie Rae Henke and husband Evan, Benjamin Franklin Cooper R. and wife Jackie, Samuel Keith Cooper and wife Jana, 30 grandchildren and spouses, 34 great grandchildren and 1great great grandchild.

Memorial Services for Benjamin Cooper will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Bradford Funeral Home Chapel with Inurnment in Summersville City Cemetery under the care of Bradford Funeral Home.
