Beverly Kay Morton Flowers

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce that Beverly (Bev) Flowers, went to dance with the angels Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at the age of seventy-six. She lived a life full of love and laughter, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever live in our hearts. She was born in St. Louis, March 16, 1948, to Tex (E.W.) and Jennie Lou Morton. She and husband, Terry, were married December 12, 1970, in St. James, Missouri.

Bev was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. We will miss her smile and laughter every day. She was an avid hobbyist, with creative interests in quilting, knitting socks, and all sorts of other crafts. Beverly was outgoing and friendly, she truly enjoyed getting to know people. Three words that best describe her life are: “caring, family and friends.” Over the years she was active in the Piney River Quilt Guild, Beta Sigma Phi, Jaycee Wives, The Houston United Methodist Women, and varied other community groups. Bev was an active member of the Houston United Methodist Church, serving as the church secretary from 1990 – 2002.

Grieving family are Terry D. Flowers, sons Brian (JoAnne), Brandt (Katharine), grandchildren Liesl, Jonathan and Matthew, sister Bobbie (Bob) Davis, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous great friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tex and Jennie Lou, and grandson, Augustus.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorials be made to the Piney River Quilt Guild or Bado Cemetery in care of Bradford Funeral Home in Summersville, MO.
