Bill Howell

William Douglas Howell, the son of John and Mildred (Smith) Howell, was born on September 20 ^th , 1949 at Salem, Missouri. He passed away at his home in Hartshorn, Missouri on Saturday, November 9 ^th , 2019 at the age of 70.

Bill grew up on Big Creek with 12 siblings. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting. He also enjoyed riding down gravel roads looking for wildlife, working in his shop, visiting family and friends around his kitchen table, going to Akers and was always up for a game of horseshoes with his friends. Bill worked for several years for the Local 513 union and also spent 3 years in Alaska mining for gold.

He is survived by his wife, Kay Howell of the home; sons, Keith and Michelle Summers and Billy and Amy Howell both of Summersville, MO; grandkids, Amanda Cobble and Shelby Ledbetter both of Mtn. View, MO, Izzy Summers of Birch Tree, MO, Tyler, Hayden and Dillon Howell of Summersville, MO, Ashley Dewitt of Houston, MO and Ethan Dewitt and Kyle Summers of Summersville, MO; great-grandkids, Noah, Brayden, Maleah, Loretta, Morghan and Jaxtyn; a sister, Jean Eiffert; brothers, Bob, Pete, John and Gordon Howell as well as several nieces and nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mildred Howell; his daughter, Debbie Summers; sisters, Louise Pitts, Becky Thomlinson, Edna Mae Clayton and Fern George and brothers, George and Danny Howell.
