Buster Otis Grimes Jr.

Buster Otis Grimes Jr was born November 15, 1948 in Vernon, Texas to Buster Otis Grimes Sr and Myrtice (Hancock) Grimes.  He passed away August 23, 2024 at his home in Summersville, Missouri at the age of 75.

He was united in marriage to Laverne Collins on September 19, 2020.

Buster spent his early years in Wichita Falls, Texas before settling in Summersville in 1974.  A skilled painter and carpenter, he took great pride in remodeling homes and was always willing to lend a helping hand to others.

He was a founding member of Faith Baptist Church and later made Valley Center Baptist Church his Church home.

Buster found immense joy in spending time on his farm, where he took great pride in caring for his animals.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Buster and Myrtice, and a grandson Daniel.

Buster is survived by his wife Laverne; children: Edward (Gina) Grimes, Stacy (Diego) Rosales, Sylvia (Brian) Goen and Tracy (Daniel) Killian; step-children: Jaycee (Jeremy) Collins, Richard (Desiree) Collins and Beth (Keith) Collins; grandchildren: Dustin, Destiny, Colby, Elaina, Riley, Mandi, Megan, Malea, Madison, Trenton, Mackenzi and Mikhaela; step-grandchildren: Logan, Shaylee, Joleah, Bentley, Kabella, Ryker, Jaycee, Jessie, Jocelyn, Kinley and Asa; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister: Loretta (James) Lee; niece: Tami (Kenneth) Harney; nephew: Gavin (Deborah) McCarty many other family members and friends.

Buster will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know and love him.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations in Buster's memory be made to the Valley Center Baptist Church.
