Calvin (Bill) William Roark the son of Calvin Rockel Roark and Elizabeth (Betty) Marie (Spacek) Roark was born in Kansas City, Missouri, May 23, 1929. Bill passed away at the Mountain View Health Care, Thursday morning, May 3, 2018 making his age 88 years 11 months and 3 days.
Bill was united in marriage to Iona May McAdams on November 9, 1949 making their union together 52 years before Iona passed away Oct 13, 2002. They were blessed with 4 daughters, Pamela May, Patricia Ann, Pennie Jean, Billie Kay.
Bill farmed and ran Hereford cattle, when talking about them he referred to them as (his girls). Roark Sawmill is in operation today, many can remember Bill driving by in his big truck hauling lumber. He always had a smile and a wave for those he met. He was a kind and generous neighbor and friend.
He enjoyed hunting in his younger days, fishing was his passion, he could be found on the farm tending the livestock, or at the sawmill.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Calvin and Betty Roark, his wife Iona, brother-in law Andrew Stoops, grandson John Luke Willoughby and niece Ann Stoops.
Bill is survived by his 4 daughters, Pamela Crabtree and husband Drew Eugene of the suburbs of Arroll, Missouri, Patricia White and husband Mike of Dittmer, Missouri, Pennie Woolsey and husband James of Arroll, Missouri and Billie Kay Nygard and husband Don of Summersville, Missouri; His grandchildren Terri (Ron) Austin, Calvin (Charity) Woolsey, Jason (Tricy) Woolsey, Jay Woolsey, Michael Charles (Chad) White Jr., Joshua Earl White, Cody (Christy) Luckenbill, Kayanna Dawn (Justin) Beaty, Rayanna Rachiel Bailey, His great grandchildren, Eden Willoughby, Shay Austin, Jaycelynn and Cason Woolsey, Sarah, Josie May, and Addison Woolsey, Wyatt, Waylon, and Abby Woolsey, Samuel and Micha Luck inbill and Tucker Beaty, His 2 great great grandchildren Quincy Willoughby and Dezmond Hines, 1 sister Josephine Stoops and 2 sisters-in-law Virginia and Selma McAdams. He is also survived by a very special friend Kenny Brooks.
In Lieu of Flowers memorial can be made to Oakside Church and left at Bradford Funeral Home
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Oakside Community Church near Summersville on Saturday, May 12, 2018, at 11:00 AM.
Visitation will be from 10:00 Am until service time at 11:00 Am at Oakside Church with inurnment in Oakside Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Bradford Funeral Home. Online condolences maybe left at bradfordfuneralhome.net
