Charles Franklin Schweighauser, age 82 of Seymour Missouri, passed away at his home on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 with his family by his side.
Charles was born December 17, 1937 to Allie and Minnie Melvinie (Jackson) Schweighauser in Shannon County, Missouri.
Charles grew up in the Summersville area and later moved to Seymour where he raised his family. Over the years he worked at Angelica, HD Lee, General Electric and was also a farmer.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, farming and spending time with his family. Charles also loved reading the Bible and knew it from front to back as he had read through it several times.
Preceding Charles in death are his parents, Allie and Minnie Schweighauser; his brothers, Ray Schweighauser, Donald Schweighauser, Denver Schweighauser and James Schweighauser; his sister, Ruth Schweighauser and his beloved longtime companion Scooter, his dog that he raised from a puppy.
Charles is survived by his beloved daughters and their spouses, Marsha Knotts (Mike) of Macomb, Missouri, Marcella Loftis (Jerry) of Springfield, Missouri, Carmen Ebert (James) of Diggins, Missouri and Tina Fox (Ronnie) of Seymour, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Kimberlee White, Blake Knotts, Elizabeth Rakes, Rebekah Anthony, Dustin Fox, Dylan Fox and Ashley Loftis; five great-grandchildren, August, Elias, Colton, Remington and Jace; the mother of his daughters, Mary Daugherty; a special sister-in-law, Glenda Schweighauser and a host of nieces and nephews.
Charles dearly loved his daughters and family and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
