Charlie Edward Tune, 80, of Saint Charles, Missouri went to be with the Lord and Savior on Monday December 24 th , 2018 surrounded by his wife, Ruby, and loving family.
Charlie Edward Tune was born on January 23,1938 in Summersville, Missouri to Uhl and Geraldine Tune. He was united in marriage to Ruby Hall on June 15 th , 1958 and they enjoyed 60 years of marriage together. In 1961 their first son, Bryan, was born followed by their second son, Darrin, in 1964 making their family complete. Charlie was a member of Teamsters Local 600 and worked in the trucking industry for 30 years.
Charlie is survived by his wife, Ruby, son Bryan & Jill (Plackemeier) Tune of St. Charles, MO, and son Darrin and Fe Tune of St. Charles, MO. Grandchildren include Trevor & Alli (Reimer) Tune, Ryan Tune, & Cooper Tune. Also surviving are siblings Ellen Wright of St. Charles MO, Ruby and Everett Pitts of Summersville, MO, Carol Tune of Hawaii, Darrell Tune of Summersville, MO, Gary and Paulette Tune of Summersville, MO, sister-in-law Mary Tune of Summersville, MO, sister-in-law Pam Tune of Raymondville, MO, brother/sister-in-law Bob and Imogene (Hall) Crider of St. Charles, MO, and brother-in-law Ken Hall of St. Charles, MO. In addition, Charlie is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
Charlie was preceded in death by his Dad and Mom along with two brothers, Lester and Robert, three sisters, Genieve Sykes, Betty Foshe, Margaret Francis, and two infant sisters, Norma Jean and Joyce Ann.
He accepted Jesus as his savior early in life and attended 1st Assembly of God Church in St. Charles for over 40 years. In retirement, Charlie was an avid fisherman and enjoyed participating in fishing tournaments. Once Ruby retired they became involved with doing volunteer projects through their church and spent several weeks a year at the Real Life Children’s Ranch in Okeechobee Florida. Along with volunteering, they enjoyed working for the St. Louis Cardinals during Spring Training in Jupiter Florida for 12 seasons.
