Cleeda Wilbanks

Summersville

Cleeda Marie (Turner) Wilbanks, the daughter of J. Karl Turner & Lois (Day) Hergesheimer was born August 23, 1931 at the family farm in Mountain View, Howell County Missouri, and passed away at Mountain View Healthcare on Tuessday May 12, 2020 at the age of 88.

Cleeda was united in marriage to Junior Wilbanks on March 5, 1949. To their union 2 children were born, Judy and Gary. Junior and Cleeda were married for 64 years before he passed in August 2013.

She was a member of the Summersville First Baptist Church. Junior and Cleeda were baptized together on December 30, 1979.

Cleeda worked at and retired from Angelica Uniform Company in Summersville and retired after 27 years of service.

Cleeda enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting, fishing, baking and visiting with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Karl and Lois; her father and mother-in-law Caney and Elizabeth Wilbanks; her husband, Junior; four brothers; one sister; two sister-in-laws; two brother-in-laws and one great great grandson.

Cleeda is survived by her children, Judy and Jerry Cooper and Gary and Virginia Wilbanks; five grandchildren, Michael Wilbanks and wife Jodie, Bradley Cooper and wife Rachel, Becky Martin and husband Kenny, Tame` Shockley and husband Scot and Brent Cooper; one sister, Kay Stricklin; eleven great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
