Clifford Harry Stallsworth

Summersville

Clifford Harry Stallsworth was born July 12, 1945 in Ayer, Massachusetts to Gene Ross and Helen Mary (Roy) Stallsworth.  He passed away January 11, 2025 at his home in Summersville, Missouri at the age of 79.

Cliff was united in marriage to Lois Irene Volner-Byers on March 18, 1978 and he became the step-father to Bud Morgan and Brenda Morgan-Volner.

He grew up in Creston, Iowa, Martinsville, Missouri and Mountain View, Missouri and attended school in Martinsville and Mountain View.  Cliff faithfully served his country in the A Division of the United States Navy from 1965-1969.  He served aboard the USS Sylvania AFS-2 based out of the home port of Naples, Italy as well as the USS Sierra AD-18 based out of Norfolk, Virginia.  Following his military service he went to work in the woods with his dad, hauling blocks, firewood and cord wood. He later went to work at ARM Enterprises until his retirement on August 17, 2007.

He was a faithful member of Praise Assembly in Summersville.  Cliff always put the Lord first in his life.

Cliff enjoyed fishing, walking, and playing with his nieces and nephews.  He also loved flowers, gardening and most of all cherished his time spent with his Lois, his brothers and sister, brothers and sisters-in-law and his Church family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Helen Stallsworth; a brother, Donald Stallsworth; a sister, Rosemary Sandusky; brother-in-law, James Sandusky; a niece, Mary; a nephew, Mark Sandusky; his father and mother-in-law, Harvey and Delcie Volner, a host of other relatives and infant triplets.

Cliff is survived by his wife, Lois Stallsworth of the home; one brother, Mike Stallsworth and wife Virginia of Mtn. View, Missouri; sisters, Avis Walker and husband Don of Koshkonong, Missouri and Claudia Stallsworth of West Plains, Missouri; son, Bud Morgan of Fox, Arkansas; daughter, Brenda Volner of Bogalusa, Louisiana as well as many other family members and friends.

Cliff was a loving husband, dad, brother, uncle and poppy and he will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
