Dana DeAnn Buschmann

December 10, 1958 – October 15, 2026

Dana DeAnn Buschmann, lovingly known as DeAnn, was born on December 10, 1958, in Houston, Missouri, to Charles Phillip Noakes and Patsy Hayes Tackett. She grew up in Houston alongside her siblings before moving to Vienna, Missouri, as a teenager. Vienna became her home, where she built her life, raised her family, and made countless memories with the people she loved.

DeAnn married Michael Buschmann on April 26, 1980. Together, they built a life rooted in family, hard work, and their connection to the Vienna community. They welcomed their son, James Michael Buschmann, on August 2, 1980, and also experienced the heartbreaking loss of an infant son who was deeply loved and will forever remain a part of their family.

Being a mother was one of DeAnn's greatest joys, and her love for Jimmy was unlike any other. Their relationship was full of personality, arguments, and the unique ability to push each other's buttons. They knew just how to get under one another's skin, but beneath the teasing was a bond that ran deep. DeAnn loved her son fiercely and would stand beside him and fight tooth and nail for him whenever he needed her. No matter what, Jimmy was the light of her life.

That love only grew when DeAnn became a grandmother. Her grandsons brought her immeasurable pride and happiness. She adored her boys and wanted to be part of everything they did. Whether she was chasing them around, cheering them on, or simply spending time together, DeAnn treasured every opportunity to be involved in their lives. Being a mother and grandmother brought her some of the greatest joy of her life, and her boys always held a special place in her heart.

DeAnn spent her entire working life as a beautician, a profession that was about so much more to her than hair. Over the years, she owned and worked in several beauty shops in Vienna, where she loved the atmosphere, the conversations, and the people who came through her doors. Her shops were places to visit, laugh, share stories, and catch up. DeAnn loved visiting with everyone, and the relationships she built through her work were an important part of her life.

During the 1990s, DeAnn and Michael also owned and operated a fertilizer and seed company in Vienna, adding another chapter to their years of hard work and involvement in their community.

Home for DeAnn was the Buschmann Farm in Vienna, a place she deeply loved. She appreciated the beauty of the land and took pride in keeping it looking the way she wanted. She enjoyed brush-hogging and tending to the property, taking satisfaction in caring for a place that meant so much to her. The farm was more than a home; it was a part of her life and a place where many memories were made.

Those who knew DeAnn knew she was outspoken, strong-willed, and never one to leave people guessing about what she thought. She told it like she thought it was, and people rarely had to wonder where they stood with her. Her spirited personality was part of what made her uniquely DeAnn. She loved her people fiercely, stood up for those she loved, and made sure her family and friends knew just how much they meant to her.

DeAnn was always ready for an adventure, a trip, or an opportunity to have some fun with family and friends. She loved being surrounded by the people she cared about and enjoyed being the life of the party. She wanted to be part of the action, share in the laughter, and make memories with the people who mattered most to her. Whether at home on the farm, visiting with friends, traveling with loved ones, or spending time with her grandsons, DeAnn wanted to be right in the middle of it all.

Over the last year of DeAnn's life, she shared a special bond with her sister Jan, and it became even more meaningful as they spent precious time together. As DeAnn faced the final journey of her life, Jan stood faithfully by her side, offering her love, care, comfort, and unwavering support. DeAnn deeply appreciated everything Jan did for her and the way she never left her side during such a difficult and tender time. Jan's love reflected the special connection they shared as sisters, and those final months together will forever be a treasured part of their story.

DeAnn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael Buschmann; her infant son; her father, Charles Phillip Noakes; her stepfather, Gayle Tackett; her parents-in-law, Andrew and Virginia Buschmann; her brother, Jimmy Noakes; her brother-in-law, Carl Watson; and her sisters-in-law, Betty Renkemeyer and Anna Buschmann.

She is survived by her mother, Patsy Hayes Tackett; her son, James Michael “Jimmy” Buschmann, and his wife, Dana Buschmann; her cherished grandsons, Austin Jacob, Patrick Wayne, and Andrew Michael; her sister, Jan Watson; her sister, Lisa Thompson, and brother-in-law, Brad Thompson; her brother, Jeff Noakes, and sister-in-law, Jaquetta Noakes; her sisters-in-law, Donna Vanscoy and her husband, Dewayne, and Carma Wegman and her husband, Jake; and her brother-in-law, Bob Renkemeyer.

She is also survived by her step-siblings, Tammy Tackett, Pam Goose, and Brad Tackett and his wife, Cathy; along with many beloved nieces and nephews who knew and loved her as Aunt DeeDee, extended family members, and dear friends. Her love extended far beyond her immediate household, reaching the many people she welcomed into her life and held close to her heart.

DeAnn leaves behind a legacy of fierce love, unforgettable memories, and a personality that was impossible to mistake for anyone else's. Though her absence will be deeply felt, the love she gave, the memories she created, and DeAnn’s unmistakable spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
