David Lee Tune

David Lee Tune, son of Melburn Ray Tune and Alpha Miriam (Davidson) Tune, was born December, 1948 at Goldsberry Township in Mountain View, Missouri. He went to be with his Lord and Savior, surrounded by by his family, August 23, 2018, at the age of 69 years, 8 months and 12 days.

He married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Diana Marie Ledgerwood, October, 1968. They were blessed with 4 children, Brian David, Libby Yvonne, Toby Lee and Emily Agnes.

At the young age, of 7 he fell in love with Chevy cars, that passion jump started his career in auto body repair. Around 1976, he established his own body shop, Dave’s Body Shop in Birch Tree.
He restored numerous cars and trucks, some for himself, his children and for many others. He loved to tinker and could build anything. He also enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, mushroom hunting, gold mining, car shows and music.

His pride and joys were his wife, children, grandkids, great grandkids and his cats Princess and Tommy.

He is preceded in death by his father Mel, mother Alpha, sisters, Mary Christine and Patricia Ross, brothers-in-law, Rodney Mike Ledgerwood, Donald Ross and Rick Bendure, sisters-in-law, Juanita and Golda Lee Ledgerwood and father in-law, Leo Ledgerwood.

He is survived by his wife Diana, son Brian Tune, his wife Michelle, their children, Kelsi, Sidney, Briar, Robby, Brandi and Brooke, their grand kids, Marlee, Taylor, Harley, Aden and Eden; daughter Libby, her husband Jimmy Lowe, their children Colton, Connar, and Corbin: son Toby Tune, his wife Nikki, their children, Sophie, Ruby, Laynie, and Leo: and daughter Emily Ledgerwood,  his siblings, Dennis Tune, Pamela Syfrett and Paula Bendure, along with their families, mother-in-law, Irene Ledgerwood, brothers-in-law, Danny, Donnie and Larry Ledgerwood and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution maybe made in David’s honor to Hospice Compass.
