Delmar E. Richardson

August 16, 1963 — January 31, 2024

Success

Delmar Eugene Richardson was born August 16, 1963 in Houston, Missouri to George and Ruby (Gorrell) Richardson.  He gained his heavenly reward on January 31, 2024 at the Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston, Missouri at the age of 60.

Delmar grew up in Ellis Prairie, Missouri and attended grade school at Success.  He then went on to Houston High School and graduated with the class of 1981.

He was united in marriage to Tammy Massey on November 16, 1985 and they were blessed with two daughters, Shannon and Kriston.

He attended the Fairview Pentecostal Holiness Church.  Delmar always made time to praise and worship Jesus Christ.  He spent a lot of time reading and studying the Bible.  He enjoyed sharing the gospel with the people he met.

Delmar was always a hard worker.  Following high school, he worked on the oil rigs for a period of time later moving on to pouring and finishing concrete.  He then worked for Royce Smith Walnut before moving on to owning a construction company and later working for a maintenance company.  In 2007 Delmar and Tammy purchased Royce Smith Walnut, thus creating Richardson Walnut.  He always said that of all the jobs he worked at in life, that he always enjoyed buying logs the most.

Delmar enjoyed deer hunting, but his favorite was turkey hunting.  He enjoyed being outdoors and fishing.  Most of all he loved spending time with his kids and grandkids and hosting family get-togethers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George Richardson and Ruby Richardson and a sister, Brenda Mason.

Delmar is survived by his wife Tammy; daughter, Shannon Burch and her husband Jason, daughter, Kriston Jones and her husband Darrin; 9 grandchildren, Jayce Burch, Caitlyn Burch, Kendall Burch, Zac Burch, Ashton Richardson, Austin Jones, Cameron Jones, Elijah Jones and Gracyn Jones; brother, Danny Richardson and his wife Shelly, sister, Lucinda Flores and her husband David, brother, Dustin Richardson and his wife Jamie as well as numerous other family members and friends.

Delmar was a kind, patient and loving husband to Tammy.  He loved people and his desire was to see that everyone he knew and loved would make Jesus their personal Lord and Savior.  He will be dearly missed but we know there will be a glad reunion day when we are again joined with him in Heaven.

Ephesians 2:8: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves is the gift of God.

The family respectfully requests donations may be made in Delmar's memory to the Fairview Pentecostal Holiness Church or Number 1 Cemetery.
