Donna Frazier, was born June 26, 1936 in Hillview, Illinois to Leonard Bess and Maxine (Mitchell) Camp. She passed away September 7, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 84.
Donna loved spending time with the ones she loved. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She loved to go fishing and to set around and tell her old stories. She truly enjoyed taking her grandkids on trips and spending summers fishing, playing card games or a mad game of Aggravation. During this time she gave many life lessons. She enjoyed getting to spend time with her sisters going on shopping trips and out to eat. She loved spending time in California with her mother and brother seeing all the beautiful sights. In her earlier years, she loved to travel and take her children to see a lot of different states and landmarks throughout our country. She loved to have get-togethers and having her family all together when ever she could. Known for her red hair and her bluntness, you never had to guess where you stood with her. She would shower you with love or give you a piece of her mind! She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Maxine; two sons, Lawrence “Bart” Frazier and Richard Frazier; two sisters, Peggy Pierce and Patricia Lamb and two great-grandchildren, Hannah Rachelle Johnson and Braxton Johnson.
Those left to mourn her passing are: her daughter, Carman Johnson; son, Stephen Johnson and his wife Shari; sisters, Linda Vesci, Carol Hasty and Shirley Ridenhour; brothers, Herb Bess and Danny Bess; grandchildren, Aaron “Blaine” Black, Lindsey Frazier, Chance Johnson, Chase Mira, Cheyenne Johnson, Blaize Johnson and Blade Johnson; Eleven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
