Earl Allen Walls

Summersville

Earl Allen Walls the son of Henry Earl and Blanch Marie (Clark) Walls, was born October 2, 1936 in St. Louis, Missouri.  He went to his heavenly home March 15, 2024 at the age of 87.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Rosa Lea; daughters, Christine (Tom) Leitermann, Debra Kelly, Tonya (John) Cope and Cindy (Jeremy) Roach; sons, Ronnie (Tammy) James and Scott (Loretta) James; a sister, Lenora Clark; brothers, Bill (Phyllis) Walls and Ray (Mary) Clark; a brother-in-law, Roy Dean McCallister; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren as well as many other family members and friends.

Those preceding him in death are his parents; youngest brother, Mike Clark; sister Iris Neuman; brother-in-law, Harry Neuman; sister-in-law, Claudene McCallister; great-grandchildren Kayla and Colt James and their father, Kenny James.

Earl accepted the Lord as his Savior as an early adult and loved to serve Him.  He also went to Bible college and loved to teach and sing in Church.

Earl worked many years away from home but loved coming home to work on the farm.  He had many projects in life and took pride in whatever he did.  He was very proud to have served his country in the United States Marine Corps for 3 years after High School.  He and his brother Bill liked racing cars and Earl took great interest when his grandson Wyatt took up the sport.

He worked at McDonald Douglas Aircraft where he met Rosa Lea.  He earned his bachelor's degree but did not pursue teaching school.  He sold insurance for a time.  He built a home in Harvester, Missouri.  Earl got his pilot’s license just for fun.  He also worked on cargo ships out of Louisiana hauling supplies to the oil rigs in the gulf.  He later worked his way to Chief Engineer while working in Wisconsin for the US Army Corp of Engineers where they ran a dredge to clean out the rivers for the barges.  He and Rosa Lea bought her family’s farm where he built their beautiful home.

Earl loved people and never met a stranger.  He was always willing to lend a helping hand wherever it was needed.  Most of all he wanted to make sure everyone accepted the Lord as their Savior!
