Eminence

Eddie Joe Smith the son of Arnold Jink Smith and Mildred Fern Powell Smith, was born December 15, 1961 at Salem Memorial Hospital and passed away at Mercy Hospital in Mountain View, Missouri on April 22, 2018, making his age 56 Years.

He was united in marriage to Sherry Vaughn on May 29, 2004 making their union together almost 14 years. They were blessed with 2 children. When they were united in marriage Eddie brought Cassie Jo into the marriage and Sherry brought Chantry James Davis (CJ)

Eddie Joe grew up on the family farm in West Eminence, Mo. He also lived 3 years on the Spring Valley Ranch. During this time, he was taken care of by Sadie Chilton and Charlie Chilton. He attended the West Eminence Christian Church and graduated from Eminence High School where he played basketball and baseball. After graduation he moved to Hanna, Wyoming where he worked in the coal mine. Later returning to Eminence to work for his brothers in their canoe rental businesses. He worked for a store in Vicksburg, Mississippi, Tool and Die company in Jefferson City, Mo. and for MODOT paint and bridge crew since 1995 where he had an accident and became disabled.

He loved spending time hunting with his brothers and nephews, arrowhead hunting and gardening, but most of all he loved spending time with the kids in our care, Kasey, Karson, Riley, Abby and Tucker.

He is preceded in death by his father Arnold Jink Smith, his mother Mildred Fern Smith, his brother Jerry Dale Smith, sister in law Carol Faye Banks Smith, his father in law Leroy A. Vaughn Jr. and brother in law Leroy H. Vaughn Sr.

He was survived by his wife Sherry L. Smith, daughter Cassie Jo Dupape and husband Arron, son Chantry J. Davis, his granddaughter Mila Ryan Dupape, his brother Windy J Smith and wife Ruthie, his brother Roger H. Smith, brother Gary W. Smith and life partner Sharon, his brother Stanley A. Smith and wife Peggy, his sister Brenda G. Broadfoot and husband James, his mother in law, Virginia Vaughn, his sister in law Pamela K. Brandt and her life partner Jesse, and many nieces and nephews.
