Elsie Lorene Carmack

Elsie Lorene (Stringer) Carmack was born March 17, 1936 at Hartshorn, Missouri to Jasper and Dollie (Morgan) Stringer.  She entered her heavenly home on June 25, 2023 at Houston, Missouri at the age of 87.

She was united in marriage to Ronnie Earl Carmack on June 24, 1956 and to their union 3 children were born: Ronnie Ervin (Jr), Lori Ann and David Neal.

Growing up in Hartshorn, Elsie attended school at Round Valley.  She worked many years at Bay Creek and Angelica factories in Summersville in addition to being a homemaker.

Elsie gave her life to the Lord at a young age and was the last original member of the Hartshorn Assembly of God.  She was a dedicated and faithful member there for 68 years.

Elsie enjoyed quilting and sewing, cooking for the whole family, gardening, playing guitar and singing and loved spending time with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jasper “Mutt” Stringer and Dollie Stringer; husband, Ronnie Earl Carmack; son, David Neal Carmack; daughter, Lori Ann Carmack-Miller; granddaughter, Jami Lynn Carmack-Vance; brothers, Joe Stringer, Bill Stringer, Jimmy Stringer, Bill Jackson, Melton George and sisters, Pauline McGalliard, Eula Brim and Linda Stringer.

Elsie is survived by: son, Ronnie Carmack Jr. of Mountain View, Missouri; grandchildren, Brandi Miller of Hartshorn, Missouri, Sidney Fisher of Lynn Haven, Florida, Ryan Carmack of Rolla, Missouri, Caleb Carmack of Rolla, Missouri and Dawn Weirich of Gerald, Missouri; 10 great-grandchildren, Alysyn, Madisyn, Keragan, Kassidy, Trenton, Gage, Phillip, Serenity, Karsyn and Jacob; 3 great-grandchildren, Everett, Autumn and Shyloh; a sister, Evelyn Dewitt and a brother Daryl Stark.

Elsie had a sweet spirit and a kind smile for everyone.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
