Eunice Jane Boyer

Eunice Jane Boyer was born October 12, 1937 at Summersville, Missouri to Artie and Mary Ruth (Dyer) Patterson. She passed away May 13, 2023 at Willow Care Nursing Home in Willow Springs, Missouri at the age of 85.

She was united in marriage to Joe Cunningham in 1963 and 5 children were born to their union, Odie, Clarence, Ron, Rocky and Rhonda. She later married Cecil Boyer.

Eunice grew up in the Summersville area and moved to St. Louis in 1966 where she spent time working as a nurse and seamstress. She moved back to Summersville in 1989 to be closer to and help take care of her parents.

She attended the 2 ^nd Baptist Church in Sedalia, MO for a time and later attended the Fundamental Bible Baptist Church at Arroll.

Eunice’s life work was taking care of her family. She loved cooking dinners for family get-togethers and making sure all her children and grandchildren’s needs were met. She also enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, putting out a big garden and tending to her flower beds. She loved Bluegrass music and enjoyed traveling around to Bluegrass festivals. She made many beautiful quilts as long as her health permitted.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Art and Ruth Patterson; her husband, Cecil Boyer; daughter, Rhonda Lee; sons, Odie Lee Cunningham and Ron Cunningham and a brother Gene Patterson.

Eunice is survived by her sons, Clarence “Chip” Cunningham and Rocky Cunningham; grandchildren, Amber Pettyjohn, Ryan Lee and Chase Cunningham; 7 great-grandchildren and a sister, Donna Mae Toozar. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
