Evelyn A Burdine

Evelyn A. Burdine the daughter of Clarence W. Hughes and Ione M. (Johnson) Hughes was born in International Falls, Minnesota on May 29, 1936. She passed away at the family home in Summersville on Tuesday evening, March 20, 2018 making her age 81 years.

Evelyn was united in marriage to Harold W. Burdine on September 25, 1954 making their union together 53 years. They were blessed with 7 children, Judith, Anita, Mary, Cathy, Joe, Rachel, Naomi.

She was a member of the Summersville Mennonite Church in Summersville, Missouri. She loved to read, word search puzzles and jig saw puzzles. She was a very loving person, never complained, always “I’m alright” when she was hurting. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was looking forward to her newest great grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence W. and Ione M. Hughes, her husband Harold Burdine and her brother Russell Hughes, son-in-laws Ernest Turner, and James Honeyfield.

She is survived by her children, Judith D. Burdine of the home in Summersville, Anita F. Turner of Houston, Missouri, Mary L. Bartrop and husband Barney of Caldwell, Idaho, Cathy A. Maggard and husband Brent of Mansfield, Missouri, Joe W. Burdine of Summersville, Missouri, Rachel A. Honeyfield of Licking, Missouri, Naomi R. Brunk and husband Robert of Logan, Ohio.

Her beloved grandchildren, Ernest Turner, Laura Turner, Elizabeth Hull, Rebecca Florence, Hannah Stuart, Alec Brunk, Nick Brunk, Mia Brunk, Sophie Brunk, R. Elaine Coleman, Allie Honeyfield and Jim Ben Honeyfield, 12 great grandchildren and 1 one on the way., Wrennyn Willow Turner, Joshua Ray Colegrove, Ronald Andrew Stephenson, Bailey Hull, Brady Hull, Clayton Florence, Joshua Florence, Silas Florence, Adrianna Coleman, Abigail Coleman, Ben Parker, 2 sisters, Linda Asket of Caldwell, Idaho, and Jeanette Burdine of Mountain Home, Idaho.

She was blessed with her chuch family, Arnold and Laura Kaufman, Joe and Effie Weirich, Sarah Schrock and Lydianne Petersheim and Joe Burdine and JackiePyatt.
