Gaylan Dwain Terrill, the son of Dwain and Wilma-Lee (Dilling) Terrill, was born March 19, 1949 at Fortuna, California. He passed away at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston, Missouri on August 15, 2019 at the age of 70 years, 4 months and 27 days.
Gaylan was united in marriage to Imogene Briggs on January 30, 1976, making their union together 42 years before Imogene passed away on March 29, 2018. Together they were blessed with three sons, Shannon Dwain, Nathaniel Lloyd and Jacob William. He also brought along a daughter Tracy from a previous relationship.
Gaylan grew up in the Summersville area, attending Summersville Schools and graduated with the class of 1967. He was drafted into the United States Army and faithfully served his country during the Vietnam war and received the Vietnam Campaign medal as well as the Vietnam Service medal.
He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandkids.
Gaylan was preceded in death by his father, Dwain Terrill and his wife, Imogene Terrill.
He is survived by his mother, Wilma-Lee Terrill of Summersville; his sons, Shannon Terrill and wife Laresa of Licking, Nathaniel Terrill and wife Amy of Farmington and Jacob Terrill of Licking; his daughter, Tracy Reed of Mountain Grove; grandchildren, Cheyanne Terrill of Illinois, Hunter Terrill of Summersville, Abby Terrill and Joey Terrill of Licking, Steven Terrill and Sophia Terrill of West Plains, Krecia Reed of Willow Springs and Kristian Krisp of Mountain Grove; sisters, Karon Carpenter and husband Ervin Dale of Summersville and Sharon Patton and husband Carl of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests donations be made to the Gaylan Terrill Memorial Fund in C/O Bradford Funeral Home.
