Georgie Rachel Bond

Georgie Rachel Bond, the daughter of John and Mable (Willis) Edgmond, was born January 27, 1936 at Hartshorn, Missouri.  She passed away July 15, 2022 at the Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston, Missouri at the age of 86.

Georgie was one of 8 children and grew up on a farm in the Hartshorn community.  She was united in marriage to Leroy Bond on November 13, 1954 and to their union 2 children were born, Janet and Roy.

She was a member of the Hartshorn Assembly of God for close to 60 years.

When Georgie wasn’t cleaning, cooking or taking care of her family she loved to tend to her flowers.  Her and Leroy enjoyed taking Sunday rides in the old Bronco.  She also enjoyed watching TV with Andy Griffith, Bonanza, Gunsmoke and Walker Texas Ranger being some of her favorite shows.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mable Edgmond; her husband, Leroy; brothers Alton and Johnnie and sisters, Leona, June, Josephine, Molly and Mary.

Georgie is survived by her daughter Janet Wilcox and husband Roger; her son, Roy Bond and grandchildren, Christy, Julie and Roy and great-grandchildren, Destiny, Rebecca, Gabby, Elizabeth and David.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
