Gerald W. Stewart

Gerald Wesley Stewart of Summersville, MO., passed away on Monday, February 10, 2020 in Mercy Hospital, Springfield MO.  Gerald was born in Summersville, MO., to Ray and Arla (Hicks) Stewart on May 11, 1932, making him 87 years of age at his passing.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Eldridge Hicks and a brother-in-law, Harold Murfin.

Gerald is survived by one brother, Clyde Stewart of St. Peters MO.; one sister, Carol (Stewart) Murfin of Springfield MO.; nieces: Karen (Murfin) Erb and husband David; Carla (Murfin) Watson and husband Phil Watson; nephews: Jason Stewart, Kenny Hicks, Gene Hicks, Gary Hicks, and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Gerald joined the Army at the age of 18 and proudly served his country during the Korean War.  Gerald lived in the Kirkwood MO., area for many years prior to moving back to his hometown of Summersville MO., in 2014.  Gerald enjoyed traveling and visiting with family and friends, visiting Colorado on many occasions.

Gerald knew the Lord and the family finds comfort that he is now in the presence of God.  Gerald was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by friends and family.
