Gordon Lynn Green

Gordon Lynn Green the son of Chester Green and Elsie (Michel) Green was born May 11, 1939 in Shannon County, Missouri and passed away at his home on March 5, 2018 at the age of 78 years and 10 months.

He was united in marriage to Lavonne Courtney on January 12, 1960, they were blessed with 58 years of marriage. To their union three sons were born Terry Lynn, Clifford Gordon and Ralph Glenn.

Gordon graduated from the Summersville High School in 1957. He and Lavonne raised their family in the Hartshorn Community. Gordon was faithful to Christ, serving as a deacon for 46 years at Valley Center Church. He served as a youth leader and a Sunday school teacher for many years. He was also a member of the Summersville Masonic Lodge #555, and he also was a Shriner.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping. He was an excellent mechanic, from old trucks to tractors. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Gordon is preceded in death by his parents Chester and Elsie Green, sister Gloria Roberts, and brother-in-law Gene Roberts.

Surviving are his wife Lavonne of the family home, his three sons and wives, Terry and Carma of Hartshorn, Cliff and LeAnne of Falcon, Missouri, Ralph and Brenda of Fayetteville, Arkansas, his beloved grandchildren, Kristin and husband Nick Kissee, Sheri Carter, Andrea and husband Micah Shatswell, Nikki Green, Garrett and wife Samantha Green, Jordan Altic, Logan Altic, Bryar Green, his great grandchildren Madison, Hayden, Lennox, Beckett, Cailyn, Logan, Daylan, Gavyn, Timber, Evie, Cash, Cailey, Whitley, and one brother Glenn Green and wife Diann. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
