Harold Deane Richardson

Harold Deane Richardson, the son of William “Charley” and Elsa (Wuertley) Richardson, was born on June 2, 1939 at Kiowa, Colorado. He passed away on Monday, April 1, 2019 at his home at the age of 79.

Harold was united in marriage to Patsy Smith on August 3, 1974 and to their union a daughter, Deana, was born. Harold also gained a step-son, Jeff Smith.

Harold grew up in the Summersville area and graduated from Summersville High School in 1957. He worked at area sawmills and also did some logging as well as running the family farm. Harold was a member of the Summersville Saddle Club, Pine Crest Sportsman Club and the American Quarter Horse Association.

He enjoyed farming, watching television, with his favorite programs being horse/cattle shows, as well as watching sports. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Charley and Elsa Richardson.

He is survived by his daughter Deana and her husband Chris Medley; grandchildren, Cole and Lanie Kirkman; his step-son Jeff Smith and step-grandchildren, Dylan Medley and Christen Weaver as well as a host of other family members and friends.
