Hobert Milton Cobble

Hobert Milton Cobble, son of Adam and Lela (Rhodes) Cobble, was born September 14, 1927, in Canado, North Dakota, and passed away on September 16, 2025, at Mt. View Healthcare in Mountain View, Missouri, at the age of 98 years.

He was united in marriage to Gladys Cross, and to this union five children were born: Janet, Roseann, Toby, Steve, and Peggy.

Hobert grew up in the Summersville and Arroll area and proudly served his country in the United States Army, Company B, 26th Infantry.

He worked for many years in the timber industry and enjoyed attending auctions, tinkering with things, and traveling in his younger years. During his time in the nursing home, Hobert always looked forward to visits from his daughter Peggy, who worked there and loved to spoil him. He found great joy in his family, especially his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and stepmother, Inez.

Hobert is survived by his children: Janet, Roseann and husband Jeff, Toby and wife Bobbie, Steve, and Peggy and husband Donnie. He leaves behind many grandchildren: Heather, Justin, Desiree, Wayne, Kaylon, Brylon, Adam, Jase, Amanda, Shelby, Jensyn, Stevie, Cody, and Corey; 29 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Hobert will be remembered for his love of family, his hardworking nature, and the joy he found in the simple things of life.
