Imogne Blake

Bessie Imogene Blake, the daughter of Roger Howard Keeling and Bessie Emiline (Stacy) Keeling, was born March 24, 1944 at El Dorado, Kansas and passed away at her home in Summersville on Thursday evening November 16, 2017 making her age 73 years 7 months and 23 days.

Imogene was united in marriage to James Eugene Blake (Gene) on November 18, 1962. They would have been married 55 years on the 18 ^th of November. They were blessed with 4 children, Brenda Jean, Kandra Sue, Darrin Eugene, and Kimberly Denise.

Imogne graduated from Eminence High School in 1962. She worked as a home health nurse for many years. She loved her clients and made many friends. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She loved to spoil her great grandchildren. She loved music and was happiest when she was in the presence of family and singing about God’s love.

Imogene and Gene attended the Hartshorn Assembly of God Church in Hartshorn.

Imogene is preceded in death by her parents, Roger and Bessie Keeling, 2 brothers Gary and J.R., and father-in-law and mother -in-law Omer and Lorene Blake.

She is survived by her husband Gene Blake of the home, her children Brenda Smith and husband Danny of Summersville, Kandra Kirker and husband Jerry of Summersville, Darrin Blake and wife Robin of Ash Grove, Kimberly Courtney and husband Bruce of Rolla, grandchildren Ashley Collins and husband Michael, Alyssa Smith, Allison Smith, Alaina Smith, Kelsey Blake and wife Tiffany, Hannah Blake, Devin Blake, Brentley Courtney and wife Joye, Jayme McCrimmons and husband Michael, Blake Courtney, 3 great grandchildren Joseph Collins, Skyler Blake, Walton Courtney, brother and sisters, Marlene Brawley and husband Junior, Kenny Keeling and wife Tammy, Robin Porter and husband Reese, sisters-in-law, Rosemary Keeling and Kathy Keeling, sister at heart Darlene Eldinghoff, and a host of nieces and nephews.
