Jack Turner Mattison

Jack Mattison was born September 22, 1958 in Mountain View, Missouri to William “Turner” and Iva Mae (Burks) Mattison.  He passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at his home in Arroll, Missouri at the age of 65.

Jack was blessed with 3 children, Ashley, Amber and Adam.

He grew up in Summersville where he completed his high school education. He then worked on the riverboats and as an iron worker until his children were born.  At that point, he followed in his father’s footsteps working local construction while raising his children.  After they were raised, he returned to being an iron worker and traveling the country.  He was a member of the Iron Workers Union Local #46.

Jack loved spending time with friends and family.  He enjoyed riding horses, motorcycles, rodeoing, traveling and most of all making those around him laugh.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William “Turner” and Iva Mae (Burks) Mattison; a nephew, Rocky (Billy) Mattison as well as a host of aunts and uncles.

Jack is survived by his three children: Adam Mattison, Ashley Mattison and Amber Martin and her husband Marcus; grandchildren: Alijah Martin, Josiah Martin and Maleah Martin; his brother: Fred and wife Sandy Mattison; his sister: Shirley and husband Ricky Brooks; nieces and nephews: Crystal and husband Jason Rutledge, Brad and wife Tamrin Brooks, Kevin and wife Jennifer Brooks, Mike Wallace and a host of great nieces and nephews.

He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
