Janie Mae Hines

Janie Mae Hines was born August 20, 1944 and went to her heavenly home September 30, 2018 making her age 74 years, 1 month and 9 days.

Janie was the daughter of Elmer Arthur Hubbard and Bessie (Marriott) Hubbard. She was married to Johnnie Jordan in 1963 and in this union had one daughter, Barbara Sue Tuttle. She divorced then married Donald William Hines in 1972 and in this union had one son, Elmer William Hines.

She enjoyed trips to Colorado and feeding and caring for her and her son’s horses. She also enjoyed going to her kids, grandkids, and especially her great-grandkids birthday parties.

Janie worked at the County Clerk’s Office for several years and then the Commodity Office. The job she enjoyed the most was working in the woods with her husband Don. She hauled logs and sometimes skidded. She later owned and operated a western store in Houston called Triple H Western Wear. She was also half owner of a trucking company with her son Elmer called Ozark Backwoods Trucking.

Janie is preceded in death by two half-brothers, Howard Hubbard and Charles Hubbard, one half-sister, Faye Hubbard, and one great granddaughter, Hannah Rachelle Johnson.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Hines, of Houston; daughter Barbara Tuttle and husband Donald of Summersville; son Elmer Hines of Raymondville; two stepchildren Greg Hines and wife Liezl and Danny Hines; five grandchildren, Angela Johnson and husband Chance of Summersville, Jason Tuttle and wife Desiree of Summersville, Melissa Pulliam and husband Terry Jr. of Eminence, Cassandra Hines and Lilly Hines of Raymondville; three step-grandchildren Stephanie Hines, Michelle Hines and Dallas Hines; thirteen great grandchildren Colton, Sam, Carson, Ashlynn, Malea, Connor, Carlie, Case, Dawn, Riley, Abby, Molly and Tucker; 3 step great-grandchildren Sophie, Jack and Dante; and a host of nieces and nephews.
