Jenifer Leigh Street

September 30, 1984 — November 4, 2024

Summersville

Jenifer “Jen” Leigh Moran Street, the daughter of Ricky C. Moran and Melanie (Buvens) Moran, was born on September 30, 1984, in Fayetteville, NC, and passed away in Springfield, MO on November 4, 2024, at the age of 40.

Jenifer married Raymond Street in 2012.

Jenifer moved to Louisiana when her father left the Army in 1985.  She graduated from St. Amant High School in St. Amant, LA in 2003.  After high school, Jenifer attended the Ascension College Trade School and earned an associate’s degree in office management.

Jenifer’s parents were members of the Galvez-Lake Volunteer Fire Department in Galvez, LA, so she was an honorary member until age 13 when she joined as a Junior Firefighter.  Jenifer was also active in the youth group of First Methodist Church in Gonzales, LA.

Jenifer loved to travel.  Ever since she was a child, Jen had loved Disney World, but cruising was her favorite form of travel. Jenifer was also a very talented tumbler and T-shirt maker.  Even though her mom and maternal grandmother are quilters, Jenifer wasn’t fond of it.  She tried to learn, but when she made her first mistake, she let her mom finish it.

Jenifer, her husband Raymond, and her children moved to Summersville in July 2016 but returned to Louisiana in December 2018. In February 2020, they decided to move back to Summersville. To her children's friends, she became “Mama Jen.”

Jenifer was preceded in death by her Great-grandparents, Bruce and Gertrude “Ruth” (Gibson) Williams, William and Ruth (Renfrow) Buvens, Corneilus and Louise (Chedville) Kavanaugh, and Alcide and Florance (Acosta) Moran.  Grandparents, Raymond and Zeola ( Soileau) Moran, Billie and Jewel (Ducote) Cox, and Uncles Raymond Moran, Jr. and Eugene Lemoine.

Jenifer is survived by her husband Raymond Street, children Jesse, Jase, Emily, Ryan, Ethan, and Elyssa, step-son Raymond Street Jr.; her parents, Ricky and Melanie (Buvens) Moran; her younger brother Ricky and Krisi Carriere-Moran Jr.;  Brothers-in-law Bill Street, Millard Street, Josh and Ariele Deaton; Grandparents, William “Sonny” and Linda (Williams) Buvens Jr.; and her 2 ex-husbands (and friends) James Hill, father of Jesse and Jase, and Troy Petrolia Jr, father of Emily.  Aunts and Uncles William and Conni (Jackson) Buvens III, Matthew and Barbara (Briggs) Buvens, Patrick and Melissa (Buvens) McGee, Janice Moran, Patsy (Moran) Lemoine, Charles Moran, Bill and Glenda (Moran) Bordelon, Marvin Ducote, and Lesa (Ducote) Jackson, and nieces Carsyn (Brittany) Prejean-Nelson, Connolly Carriere, Carlyle Runfalo, Gabrielle Deaton, Analiese Deaton and nephew Tobias Deaton.

Jenifer has many cousins and friends who love and will miss her dearly.
