John Merlin Sneed

John Merlin Sneed the son of Herman L. Sneed and Anna Bell (Marchbanks) Sneed was born in Sikeston, Missouri on September 29, 1939. John went to his his heavenly home Wednesday morning, March 22, 2017 while a patient a Texas County Memorial Hospital making his age 77 years 5 months 22 days.

John was united in tho marriage to Margaret Mae Wolfe at St. Louis, Missouri on September 21, 1974. To their union Margaret brought two daughters Victoria and Sonya.

John served in the United States Army from August 31, 1950 to August 14, 1962, then serving in the Army reserves to August 30, 1965.

John and Margaret moved to Summersville, Missouri after working and living in St. Louis for many years. John worked and retired as a janitor from Summersville Elementary School. While in Summersville John and Margaret attended Praise and Worship. They loved gospel music and attended the Brumley music show in Lebanon for many years.

John and Margaret moved to St. James, Missouri to be near their daughter Vickie. After Vickie’s death and their declining health they moved back to Summersville, then became resident at Mountain View Health Care. They made their home at Mountain View Health care where they received excellent care and love.

John is preceded in death by his father and mother Herman and Anna Sneed, his brother Jack Sneed, daughter Victoria Browne, mother-in-law and father-in-law Raymond and Addie Sykes

John is survived by his beloved wife Margaret Sneed of Mountain View Health Care; daughter Sonya McNeil, and grandsons, Justin and Nathan Browne and Dale and Bryan McNeil. John is also survived by many friends.
