Kenneth Dale Groom

Kenneth Dale Groom was born January 15, 1956 at Darlington Township, Missouri to Dale and Nelda (Hill) Groom.  He passed away, Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 8:15 PM.

He was united in marriage to Beth on June 18, 1984 and they were married for 40 years and 11 months until his passing.  They were blessed with 4 children, Kenneth Dale Groom, Neal Foster, Angie Groom and Kendra James.

He graduated from Crane High School in 1974.  Kenneth had resided in Cabool for over 40 years.

He faithfully attended Crossway Fellowship Church in Willow Springs and was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord.

Kenneth’s greatest joy came from family time spent with his wife, kids, grandkids and great grandkids.  He loved fishing and taking care of his cows.  He also enjoyed gardening and canning alongside Beth.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Nelda Groom; his father and mother-in-law, Luther and Margie Mercer; his brother-in-law, Frank Umbdenstock; his sister, Gloria Jackson; and a beloved four-legged companion, his dog Freckles.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Beth; children, Ken (Sarah) Groom, Neal (Courtney) Foster, Angie (Shannon) Groom and Kendra (Devin) James; a multitude of grandchildren and great grandchildren; his siblings, Gerald Groom, Margaret (John) Wolf, Marion (Tama) Groom, Jennifer (Joe) Baxley and Rebecca Groom; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ron and Sherri Mercer, sister-in-law, Sharon Umbdenstock as well as numbers cousins, nieces, nephews and his lap cat, Minnie.

His legacy of love, hard work, and devotion to his family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations in Kenneth's honor be made to Crossway Fellowship Church - Youth Center Project PO Box 206, Willow Springs, MO 65793  Donation envelopes will also be available at the visitation and service.
