Larry Wayne LeJeune was born on October 17, 1939 in Jennings, LA and passed away peacefully on September 28, 2016 at his home in Port Allen, LA. He was 76. He was united in marriage to Treva Jewell Jackson, of Hartshorn, MO, on July 1, 1961 and was married to her for 36 years before her passing on November 23, 1997. Larry was known in the Summersville area as a loving and kind nurse who worked with Doctor Hampton and later moved away to become a nurse anesthetist. Most of Larry’s career was practiced in the Vermillion Parish area of Louisiana. After his wife’s passing in 1997, he continued to work part time, mostly in Pensacola, Fl where he retired at the age of 71. His favorite semi-retirement position was at Disney World in Orlando, FL where he worked for 2 years as a train conductor and cast member bringing magic and joy to all.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Treva Jewell Jackson, his parents Howard and Leta Boullion LeJeune, and three brothers Jerrell, Darrell and Ronnie LeJeune. He is survived by his two loving daughters (and sons-in- law) Theresa Tracy (& Kevin) of Kansas City, MO and Tanya Suter (& James) of Port Allen, LA; four grandchildren Ian & Alyssa Tracy, and Olivia & Claire Suter; and one great-grandson Wyatt Tracy. He is also survived by one brother (and sister-in-law) Frank LeJeune (& Pat) of Crowley, TX, one brother-in-law Gary Edwards (and Yvonne) of Amity, AR, one sister-in-law Barb Woody (and BJ) of Laquey, MO, and one Goddaughter Sherry LeJeune of Burleson, Texas. Additionally, he leaves behind many cherished cousins, nieces and nephews, and beloved family and friends.

Please join us at Antioch Cemetery in Hartshorn, MO at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2016 to celebrate Larry’s life and place his ashes next to his cherished wife Treva, nineteen years to the day she was laid to rest.
