Marilyn Marie Howell

Marilyn Marie Howell, the daughter of Clyde and Pauline (Richardson) Pitts, was born December 1, 1952 in Summersville, Missouri. She passed away October 15, 2020 in Houston, Missouri at the age of 67.

She was united in marriage to George Howell on January 1, 1995 at Midvale Church. To this union a family was formed and six children brought together.

Marilyn was a member of the Order of Eastern Star for a few years in Summersville. She was also a member of the Summersville City Council and had currently been serving as the Mayor of Summersville over the last 5 years. She really enjoyed the face to face time with all the people of Summersville.

Marilyn loved to read and could finish a novel quicker than anyone! When she was able, she also enjoyed making baby blankets. When she and George married, she gained a plethora of new hobbies including: hunting, fishing, camping and political interests. She really loved having the family and friends out at deer camp for dinner and a day of hunting. She especially enjoyed showing off her kids and grandkids any chance she got.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Pauline Pitts; her husband, George Earl Howell and a step-son Kenneth Howell.

Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Tara Finley(Jake Gross); son Donny Evans; daughter, Shannon Trokey(David); step-children, Ronnie, Kevin and Roger Howell; grandchildren, Danielle Finley, Dallas Finley, Dillyn Hogan, Austin Gross, Layla Evans, Adalyn Evans, Scarlett Trokey, Kenzy Haeffner, Savannah Eckert, Rebekah Howell and Sarah Howell; great-grandchildren, Keegan Gaston, Ransome Haeffner, Ellie Eckert and AdaLynn Eckert; her sister, Sharon Pitts; brother, Dwain Pitts; long time best friend, Mary and many aunts, uncles, nieces nephews and cousins.

Marilyn was dearly loved by all her family, friends and community and she will be greatly missed.
