Mary Frances Heiney

Mary Frances (Newby) Heiney was born to George Washington Newby and Lona Lee (Medlock) Newby on June 19, 1916. The Lord called her home Tuesday evening, October 30, 2018 while a resident at Mountain View Health Care, making her age 102 years 4 months and 11 days.

Mary was united in marriage to Arthur H. Heiney in June 1, 1936. Arthur passed away in 1985 making their union together 48 years. They were blessed with 5 children, Harold F., Joseph D., Doyle E., Mary Kathleen and Leann.

She began school at Black Valley in Hartshorn and grew up in the Hartshorn community.

She was a faithful and dedicated member in her younger years at Valley Center Church, then she later attended church at Grace Baptist where her son Joe is the pastor.

Mary loved to garden and had lovely flowers. She had a green thumb and could grown anything. She and Arthur traveled, and after Arthur’s passing she traveled with her children on family vacations.

She lived at Mountain View Health Care for several years, where she was active in playing Bingo, and she loved the parties and participated all the activities.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband Arthur, parents George and Lona Newby, daughter Leann, sisters Irene Lowery and Juanita Stewart, daughters-in-law Dorlinda Heiney and Glenna Heiney, son-in-law Gary Keeling, and great grand daughter Shaylnn Heiney.

Surviving are her children, sons, Harold Heiney and wife Dorothy, Joe Heiney and wife Lois, Doyle Heiney and wife Treena, daughter Kathy Keeling, grandchildren, Teresa (Heiney) Martin, Shelley (Heiney)Miller, Mark Heiney, Daniel Heiney, Tammy (Heiney) Keating, Rita (Heiney) Drumright, Linda (Heiney) Reid, Patti (Heiney) Miller, Kevin Heiney, Jason Heiney, Stacy Keeling, Anita (Keeling) Brawley, Julie (Heiney) Pruett, and a host of great grandchildren. Mary is also survived by one sister Evelyn Tyler and a host of nieces and nephews and other family members.
