Mary A. Norris

Mary A. (Nelson) Norris was born January 17, 1934 in St. Louis, Missouri to Floyd and Elsie (Nichols) Nelson.  She entered into her heavenly home on February 22, 2022 in Mountain View, Missouri at the age of 88.

Mary grew up in the St. Louis area and graduated from Normandy High School.  She was united in marriage to Lorin Norris on January 31, 1953 and they were blessed with 6 children: Marilyn, Gene, Jim, Rick, Robert and Randy. After they were married, they moved to the farm in Hartshorn where they raised their children.

Mary attended the First Baptist Church in Summersville as long as her health permitted.

She worked at the Angelica Factory in Summersville until it closed then worked for an insurance agency in Mountain View until she retired.

Mary loved being in the outdoors, tending to her flowers, gardening, camping with family and friends and fishing.  She also enjoyed square dancing.  Most of all she loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Elsie Nelson; her husband, Lorin; sisters, Grace and Ruth and a brother, Marvin.

Mary is survived by her children: Marilyn Shoults, Gene Norris, Jim Norris, Rick Norris and wife Juli, Robert Norris and wife Kimberly and Randy Norris and wife Kimberly; her grandchildren: Mary, Twanna, Donnie, Barbara, Kenberly, Julie, Clifford, Amy, Tiffany, Logan, Rachel, Allyson, Emily and Andrew; great-grandchildren: Lindsay, Erika, Makayla, Hailey, Billy, Aiden, Aaron, Adam, Katrina, Kaitlyn, Joie, Winter, Summer, Kaitlyn and Landon.

Mary was a special lady who loved her family dearly and she will be missed by all who knew her.
