Matthew Artis Gale

December 10, 1984 — July 24, 2020

Raymondville

Matthew Artis Gale was born in Rolla, Mo on December 10, 1984 to Artis Lee Gale and Judy Fay (Belback) Gale. Matthew passed away July 24, 2020 at the age of 35, in Raymondville, MO.

He was pr e ceeded in death by his father, Artis Lee; brother, Benji; sisters, Jolene and Velma; grandma, Virgie Belback; his brothers- in-law, Walt Ingle, Ron Harderster, Doug Turner, and Jessie James; and nephew and best buddy Lee Ingle .

He is survived by his darling Brooke with whom; through the good and bad, he spent the last nine years of his life with; His children Little Matt, Amelia, and Emma. He is also survived by his mother, Judy Gale and his brothers and sisters: Sarah and her husband Randall; Christine Karnes and her husband Dean; Rosie Ingle; Sharon James; Donetta and her husband Frank; Dorothy Bates and her husband Kenneth; Sam and his wife Judy; Tommy Ray; Mike and his wife Billye; and his sister-in-law Maybelle. He will be greatly missed by a host of nieces and nephews. Especially, Carla, Ellie May, and John-Randall who knew him as Uncle Pester.

Matthew always made his family a priority in his life. He loved his kids. He taught them important life skills, such as Little Matt could drive a big rig, Amelia could drive a lawn mower as good as any adult, and Emma walks to the beat of her own drum just like her daddy. He was handy with a wrench and could fix anything from a small motor to big equipment. He could take nothing and make something. He even built his own camper. Matthew could be found… or maybe not if he chose, hanging out with his friends driving a dirt road laughing and enjoying life. He loved 4-wheelers, driving a big rig, and hanging out at the river. He couldn’t swim a lick…But, that didn’t stop him from jumping off the bluff into the deepest part in Current River while his momma was making a mad dash to blow up a floaty to save him. He was adventurous and passionate about life. He loved people. One of Matthew’s greatest attributes was that he never judged a person and always assumed you were his friend.
