Melvin Glenn Elfline

Melvin Glenn Elfline, the son of Benjamin and Mary (Gentry) Elfline, was born on November 2, 1942 in Rhineland, Missouri. He passed away at the Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston, Missouri on July 18, 2019 at the age of 76.

Melvin grew up on a farm in the Rhineland, Missouri area. He was united in marriage to Juanita Young on July 28, 1968 and together they raised two sons, Gary Steelman and Roger Elfline.

Melvin enjoyed going to dances and bowling in his younger years, he also liked to play horseshoes, go fishing and spending time with family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Mary Elfline and brothers, Marvin, Milferd and Melburn Elfline.

Melvin is survived by his wife, Juanita of the home; sons, Gary Steelman and his wife Melissa of Mtn. View, AR and Roger Elfline of Drake, MO; a grandson, Joseph Steelman of Mtn. View, AR; a sister, Mildred Brautigam of New Haven, MO; in-laws, Loretta Elfline of Hermann, MO, Wanda and Dean German of Hartshorn, MO, Ruthie and Ray James of Trask, MO, Alta and David James of Licking, MO, Glen Young of Summersville, MO and Larry and Janet Young of Winona, MO; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
