Mike Arvin

Terry Michel “Mike” Arvin was born on April 29, 1964 at Birch Tree, Missouri to Joseph Arvin and Malissie Wade. He was one of ten children born to Joe and Malissie. He passed away on January 29, 2019 at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Missouri, at the age of 54.

In 1983 Mike was married to Tonya Powell of St. Louis, MO and there were 5 children born to this marriage: Terry, Raymond, Bradley, Angelisa and Mickey. He and Tonya divorced in 1995 and he was later married to Jaclyn Cornwall Ipock of Summersville, MO and they had 3 children: Mica, Mariah and Malcom.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents; a brother: Gary Dean; and a son: Malcom.

He was survived by his children: Terry, Raymond, Bradley, Angelisa, Mickey, Mica and Mariah; his siblings: Peggy of Salem, MO, Joe Jr. of Mtn. View, MO, Betty of Birch Tree, MO, John of Mtn. View, MO, Rhonda of Peace Valley, MO, Darlene of Mtn. View, MO, Gloria of Mtn. View, MO and Rodger of Salem, MO; and 14 grandchildren.

Mike started logging at the early age of 15 and loved his time spent in the outdoors. If he wasn’t in the woods working, you would often find him on a creek bank with his fishing pole in hand. He enjoyed time spent together with family and friends.

He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
