Mildred "Millie" Marie Elders

Mildred “Millie” Marie Elders was born May 30, 1929 in Leeper, Missouri to Dewey Harrison and Elba Pearl (Tyrey) Cole. She passed away August 9, 2025 at Mercy Hospital in Mountain View, Missouri at the age of 96.

Millie was united in marriage to Lewis Harold Elders on January 8, 1948 and to their union four children were born: Susan Kathleen, Elizabeth Anne, James Harold, and Timothy Lewis.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Summersville, where she loved spending time with her Church family.  She enjoyed the Church outings and playing Jenga with the youth group.  She always looked forward to the fellowship dinners and getting together with her friends and family.

Millie was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Pearl Cole; husband, Lewis Elders; daughter, Elizabeth Dilday; sons, James Elders and Timothy Elders; grandson, Christopher Cushley; great-granddaughter, Hannah Elizabeth Elders; and brothers, Marvin Cole and Buford Cole.

She is survived by her daughter Susan Cushley; grandsons, Jeremy Elders, Brian Cushley, Cody Dilday, Benjamin Elders, and Ian Elders; granddaughters, Michelle Popp, Jaime McRoy, and Jenabee Watkins; 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson; numerous extended family members, as well as her Church family.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
