Richard Dean Sykes

Richard Dean Sykes the son of Leroy Sykes and Genieve Grace (Tune) Sykes was born in St. Louis, Missouri at Barnes Hospital on August 7, 1959. Richard entered Heaven gates Monday, November 5, 2018 at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, Missouri, making his age 59 years 2 months and 29 days.

Richard was blessed with 4 children, Richard Dean, Jennifer Lee, Nicholas Patrick and Jonathan Luke.

His faith was important to him, where ever he lived he attended church.

He was an avid outdoors man. He loved hunting, fishing and just being outdoors.

He also enjoyed bluegrass music. Due to his declining health, he wasn’t able to do the things he enjoyed. He looked forward to visiting with his children and grandchildren, often taking grandchildren on trips to KFC.

He was preceded in death by his mother Genieve, sister Wanda and infant brother Keith.

Richard is survived by his children, Richard of Barnhart, Missouri, Jennifer of Hilsboro, Missouri, Nicholas of Hillsboro, Missouri, Luke and wife Kara of Salem, Missouri, his father Leroy Sykes of Hillsboro, Missouri, brother Dewayne Sykes and wife Terri of Hillsboro, Missouri, sister Judy O’Brien and husband John of Arnold, Missouri, 7 grandchildren, Sierra, Jordon, Destiny, Kenneth, Wanda, Bethony and Samuel. Richard is also survived by a host of other family members.
