Ricky Lee Brawley, son of Dallas William, Sr. and Beulah Mae (Woolsey) Brawley, was born August 16, 1965 at St. Louis, Mo and passed away at his home at Summersville, Mo on March 9, 2019 making his age 53 years, 6 months and 24 days.
Rick was united in marriage to Anita Kathleen (Keeling) on August 17, 1996, making their union 22 years. To this union 2 children were born, Haylee Kathleen and Hannah Idelle.
Rick was a member of the First Baptist Church at Summersville. He was raised in church and knew the Lord. Rick recently reaffirmed his faith in Christ in the presence of Brother Gary Steelman.
Rick spent most of his life working as a cowboy, breaking horses, hauling cattle, catching wild cattle from horseback, helping take care of his dad's cattle, and running his own cattle on the family farm in Summersville, where he and Anita made their home to raise their family.
Rick was an avid farmer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding and breaking horses. He took great pleasure in teaching Haylee and Hannah the importance of hard work and sharing his love of country living. Rick was a great storyteller and could make people laugh until they cried. He enjoyed spending time with his family, going to horseshows, driving around on back roads and their farm, and listening to country music. Rick was most proud of his girls. To all of Rick's siblings, he will always be known as Little Ricky.
Rick is preceded in death by his parents, Dallas and Beulah Brawley; grandparents, Neil and Ida (Birge) Brawley and Ervie and Mae (Cox) Woolsey; father-in-law, Gary Keeling and brother-in-law, Ron Clark.
Rick is survived by his wife, Anita; and daughters, Haylee and Hannah of the home; his siblings, Dallas Junior Brawley and wife Marlene; James Brawley and wife Helen; Brenda Wuertley and husband Charles; Linda Barnes and husband Lyle, all of Summersville, Mo; Cheryl Clark and Jerry of Montier, Mo and Randy Brawley and wife Cindy of Cabool, Mo; his mother-in-law, Kathy Keeling; and brother-in-law, Stacey Keeling, both of Eminence, Mo as well as several special cousins who were like siblings to Rick and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Rick will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
