Russell Dean Haeffner

Russell Dean Haeffner was born September 9, 1932 in Summersville, Missouri to Walter and Lola (Morton) Haeffner. He passed away on October 2, 2020 at NHC Healthcare in West Plains, Missouri at the age of 88.

He graduated from Mountain View High School in May of 1951. Russell was drafted into the Army in December 1951 and honorably discharged in December 1953. Most of his Army time was spent in Okinawa, Japan. While stationed there, he spent his time chauffeuring the generals from camp to camp. After he was discharged he went to work at McDonald Douglas where he worked for 37 years.

Russell married Sherry K. Barton on October 8 ^th , 1955. They were married for 46 years, until her death in September 2002. They had twin boys, Roger and Randall, in January 1960.

He is preceeded in death by his wife Sherry, son Roger, parents Walter and Lola, in-laws Lufton and Gladys Barton, brother Bobby, sisters-in-law Barbara Haeffner and Anna Stephens, brother-in-laws Jim Norton and Denny Barton.

Russell is survived by son Randall (Dionna), daughter-in-law Lisa Haeffner, grandchildren and great grandchildren Kellie Pace (Michael) and Connor. Ryan Haeffner (Kenzy), Roger, Keegan, and Ransom. Megan Hawkins (Matt), Gracie, Khloe, Ryder, and Hadlee. Sheri Tharp (Samuel), Remmi, Presley, Randilynn, and Cannon. Lisha Haeffner (Ethan), with a baby on the way. Sister-in-law Tillie Norton-Studler (Hilman), Edna Barton, many nieces, nephews and friends. He will be missed by many.
