Rusty James Daugherty

Rusty James Daugherty was born June 12, 1965 in Waterloo, Iowa to Freddie and Shirley (Spencer) Daugherty. He passed away at his home in Eunice, Missouri on January 13, 2020 at the age of 54.

He was raised in Cedar Falls, Iowa and in 1984 he moved to Missouri.

Rusty was a carpenter/handyman by trade and he enjoyed fixing things. He was also an avid outdoorsman, where he could be found fishing and hunting with his buddy Billy. Rusty also loved riding his Harley.

He was preceded in death by his father, Freddie as well as two nieces, Cory Joe Blanks and Dessa Louise Blanks.

Rusty is survived by his mother, Shirley of Summersville; daughter Krystal and son Christopher both of Eunice; grandsons, Dakoata and Jonathan of Licking; his sister Ronda and a brother Rick both of Summersville as well as eight nieces and nephews and twenty-one great nieces and nephews as well as many friends.

One of Rusty’s favorite songs was Carry on Wayward Son by Kansas, when you hear that song, turn it up and let it bring back memories of him.

The family will host a memorial service at a later date.
