Ruthene Gift

Ruthene Gift, 81 of St. Charles Mo. Jesus called her home as she passed away peacefully

o n  June 13th 2018.

She was born in Hartshorn Missouri, to the late Jeff and Eva Stringer on October 1st 1936.

She married Duane Gift in 1957, they moved to the St. Louis area and lived there over 60 years.

Ruthene was a wife and mother who was active in the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, as her children were growing up. She enjoyed sewing and was very talented at it. She loved her St. Louis Cardinals baseball, shopping for a bargain, and making microwave meatloaf.

Her favorite job title was Grandma, and provided the best daycare a grandkid could have, with rifles and race tracks made from cardboard, Ruthene was the original MacGyver! She was over the moon each time Duane and her were blessed with a new Great Grandchild, and loved keeping up with all of there milestones on Facebook.

She was so excited to have a second home in her beloved Hartshorn, when she was there her kitchen table was always filled with love and laughter. She liked nothing more then when family and friends would stop by to say hello. As the Grandchildren grew she loved spending more time there quilting with her sisters and chatting it up with her brothers, along with the rest of the Stringer clan.

She is Survived by her husband of almost 61 years Duane Gift Children Gary Gift wife Sandy of Springfield, Roberta Russian husband Cliff of O’Fallon Mo., Richard Gift wife Paula of St. Charles MO. Grandchildren: TJ Frederking wife Clare, Nick Frederking wife Jill, Erika Warner husband Landon, Jim Gift wife Shasta, Devon Goodman and Jordan Gift. Great Grandchildren: Andrew & Abel Frederking, Payton Frederking, Carson, Jack and Bella Warner, Riley and Lily Gift Sisters Norma Burch husband Frank, Nadine Michel, Macel Anderson husband Frank, Brother Doug Stringer and brother-in-law Dave Stoops.

Preceded in Death by son Michael Gift, her Parents Jeff and Eva Stringer, brother Donald  Stringer, sister Glenda Stoops, b rother in-laws and sister in laws
