Tammy Dawn Robertson was born July 8, 1959, in Houston, Missouri, to Vivian (Lewis) Hartman and Earl Hartman. She passed away on October 4, 2026, at her home in Summersville, Missouri, at the age of 67.
Tammy was united in marriage to James Robertson Jr on November 29, 1986 and they were blessed with a daughter, Melissa Dawn.
She grew up in Summersville and lived her life there. She graduated from Summersville High School in 1977 and was the Salutatorian of her class. Tammy was very intelligent and hardworking. She worked at the Bluebird Café for many years, where she loved serving her community. Before that, she worked at Angelica. She had recently retired from the South Central Correctional Center in Licking after working there for 25 years.
Tammy attended Hartshorn Assembly of God in her later years. She was a proud believer in Jesus from a young age and taught Children’s Church for many years. She helped lead many people to Jesus.
Tammy loved watching Brinkley play volleyball and seeing Owen catch big bass and swing a bat in baseball. She loved side-by-side rides with her girls, Melissa and Brinkley, while looking for deer and telling them the history of different areas. She loved James and served him faithfully as a wife. She loved to boat ride and drive fast. Tammy was a wonderful crocheter. She was the most loving mother and Gammy. All of Melissa and Brinkley’s friends were treated as her own. She was lovingly known as mom to a multitude. She also loved knowing Frank would take care of Melissa and her grandbabies.
She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Hartman; her mother, Vivian Hartman; father-in-law, James Robertson Sr.; sister-in-law, Trina Robertson; and her miscarried grandbaby that we all know she ran straight to.
Tammy is survived by her husband, James of the home; daughter Melissa Renshaw and her husband Frank; grandchildren, Kyle, Brinkley and Owen; mother-in-law, Cheryl Robertson; brothers, Roger and Faye Hartman, Terry and LaDonna Hartman, and Jeremy and Cindy Robertson; sisters, Cheryl Chowning and Angie Hunt; sister-in-law, Tammy Robertson; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Tammy was a friend to all, and her greatest joys were her daughter and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed, but she would want all to know Jesus so we can meet her in heaven someday.
Donations in Tammy's memory may be made to Care to Learn in care of Liberty High School.
