Listen to Obituary

Terry Douglas Cross was born September 15th 1951 at Yukon, Missouri, to Ray and Pearl (Williams) Cross. He passed away at his home in Houston, Missouri on June 6th, 2026 at the age of 74.

Terry grew up in the Houston area, where he attended Houston schools. Following high school, he did several types of work, then he pursued a career as a Heating & Air Conditioning contractor, where he owned his own business in the Branson area. He was very mechanical and spent many hours working on heavy equipment and reselling those items. He could fix just about anything, from small engine repairs to heavy equipment.

He enjoyed auctions, buying and fixing items that he could turn from junk into a treasure. He enjoyed attending car shows, sometimes even participating and other times just to look and admire the older cars. He enjoyed meeting his friends or family at the local McDonalds and visiting or telling stories. Terry had a quick wit with a silly sense of humor and loved to laugh. Terry loved his family and getting together to eat at family dinners. He attended Ellis Prairie Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Pearl Cross; his son, Eric Cross; his granddaughter, Candice Walser; brothers, Jimmy, Ronnie and Tony; and sisters, Judy and Beverly.

Terry is survived by his sons Alan Cross, Jeff Cross (Rachel), and Nathan Cross; grandchildren, Kimie Cross, Derrick, Ashton, Haley, Brody, Briston and Blane, as well as two great-granddaughters, Jade and Rowen; brothers, Carl Bell (Carolyn) of Houston and Travis Cross of Houston and sister Kathy Hutsell (David) of Bucyrus as well as several nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
