Thomas Lawrence Atchison

Thomas Lawrence Atchison Sr. the son of Henry A. Atchison and Flora M. Atchison (White) was born September 4, 1948 in St. Louis Co., MO and passed away at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, MO Monday, October 31, 2016 making his age 68 years 1 month and 7 days.

Thomas was united in marriage to Betty Spangler and to their union 2 children were born; Thomas L. Atchison Jr. and Steven M. Atchison. Later in life he married Carol Scott and gained 2 step daughters, Jenny and Laura Scott.

Tom accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of the Pentecostal Faith. Some of his favorite pastimes were spending time with his family, fishing, camping, hunting, and watching westerns. He also loved playing solitaire on his i-pad.

Tom is preceded in death by his maternal  grandmother Normor Conley and maternal grandfather Charles D. White, paternal grandparents William Richard Atchison and Anne (Conley) Atchison, his parents: Henry A. and Flora M. Atchison, his brother Charles D. Atchison and sister Judith A. Atchison.

Surviving is his son Tommy Jr. (Frannie) Atchison and grandson Adrian Michael Atchison, his son Steven M. Atchison, Jenny Scott and grandson Ryan Jackson Lockhart, Laura Scott. Children that he loved as his own; Angel, Shelly Dooley, Christina Francis, David Lyons and their families. Brothers James D.  Atchison, and John W. Atchison and wife Barbara, sisters, Norma J. Atchison and  Nora Lee Jackson and husband Martin. Tom is survived by  a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
